Essential oil is an aromatic, concentrated and volatile compound which is extracted from plants. It is also known as "ethereal oil". The concept of essential oil should not be confused with essential fatty acid.
Essential oil is multipurpose oil which is used in perfumery industry, cosmetic products, health care products, medicinal products and also as a flavoring agent in various food products.
