Experts tell us that eating whole grain will give us a lot of fiber and fiber associated nutrients compared to eating refined grains. What you may not be aware of is that you are also consuming a lot of unnecessary glucose or sugar in the form of complex carbohydrate. For example if you take 100 grams of refined rice you will consume 80 grams of complex carbohydrate the same amount of whole grain rice will give you seventy seven grams of complex carbohydrate. In other words you are practically consuming the same amount of carbohydrates.
