The Value of Taking Insulin

How does taking or shooting insulin into your body to treat Type 2 diabetes make any sense if you are supposedly "resistant" to insulin?

I am Dr. John, retired physician, author of “Eat, Chew Live and Diabetes”.

I have been researching diabetes for the last 20 years. Today's topic is use of insulin to control blood sugar.

Many of you take insulin injections to control blood sugar. Let me ask you this, if you have an infection, and you become resistant to an antibiotic. Will the doctor give you the same antibiotic? Know if you have cancer and you become resistant to a chemo agent, will the doctor give you the same chemo?

Similarly, you are told you are resistant to insulin and that is why you have type 2 diabetes but at the same time you are asked to take insulin injections, yes it does cause lowering of blood sugar, but where does that sugar go? Does it go into the cells that are supposed to be a resistant to insulin? How do we know or does it go into cells that were already sensitive to insulin?

How does that have, there is no research to show that keeping the sugar level down below an HbA1C of 7 will allow you to escape complications of type 2 diabetes .
